How long is a therapy session?

A therapy session typically lasts for 50 minutes. However, the duration may vary based on individual needs and preferences.

What type of therapy approaches do you use?

We use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy approaches to address various mental health concerns.

Do you offer online therapy sessions?

Yes, we offer online therapy sessions for individuals or couples, who prefer virtual therapy or are unable to attend in-person sessions.

What type of sessions do you offer?

We offer virtual and walking therapy appointments located within the Leicestershire area. 

How much is an appointment to see a Therapist?

A standard appointment is £40.00, but you can speak to your therapist about block bookings which will have a reduction on the appointment fee.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on the individual, and the struggle or struggles the individual presents with. On average the therapy takes around 12 to 20 sessions but can on occassion exceed this, and on some occasions it can take as little as 6 sessions.

Can CBT help with any mental health issue?

The truth is no, but CBT is well known for its effectiveness in a range of different areas, best thing to do is get in touch with us and have a discussion with one of our therapists to find out if it could be effective for you.

How much is an initial consultation?

The initial consultation is free and will take approximately 30 minutes over the phone or a video call, this is mainly a getting to know one another and confirming and anwering anything that you may want to know and anything the therapist may need to know moving forward.

Is there an additional fee for couples therapy appointments?

yes couples therapy is slightly more expensive than individual therapy at £57.50 per appointment. You can speak to your therapist about block bookings which will have a reduction on the appointment fee.

Do you offer flexible appointment times?

Here at Initiative we do our best to be flexable, our therapists offer some evening and weekend appointments, along with morning and afternoon appointments.
